"'Boo Radley' is something special. I really enjoy this music and want to hear much more. It's really, really good." ~ Peter Cooper, Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville, TN:

Boo Radley's original music highlights the songwriting skills and true passions of the acoustic duo, husband and wife Michael Shawn Turner and Patricia Matson-Turner. “Meaningful lyrics, high-quality, well-rehearsed vocal harmonies, and Turner’s intricate playing on his warm, full-bodied acoustic guitar set Boo Radley apart.” Their songs, speaking to modern-day and sometimes personal issues, resonate with audiences young and old. Ranging from soft ballads to more hard-driving acoustic songs, their spirit has proven to thrive through Boo’s live performances.

Michael and Patty share decades of stage experience and have had the Boo Radley Music project going since April 2014. The Gulf Coast of Florida , the 850 area in particular, embraced Boo and helped them get their start, for which Michael and Patty will always be grateful! Then Hurricane Michael’s devastation of the Florida Panhandle (90% of the venues in which Boo worked closed either temporarily or permanently) inspired them to act on a long-brewing notion that they needed to be more centrally located. In April 2019 they sold their house in the Panhandle and moved to Nashville, TN. The plan was to reach nearby cities to do shows and make it back home the same night, alleviating hotel costs.

Then covid.

...‘nuff said.

They felt that a new direction was in order, and started their prison ministry, ‘Boo Radley – BIGGER than us!’

While they will continue to write new songs and do live concert performances, they are focusing most of their efforts in service to the underserved community of the region’s incarcerated. With the help of their friends and mentors, Mark and Suzan Mason, a.k.a. The Plunders (founders of Life on the Verge Ministry), Michael and Patty started performing/ministering in Florida prisons in 2022 and haven't looked back!

As many of their songs are written through the pain and anguish of a loved one’s addiction and repeated incarcerations, Michael and Patty feel very strongly that their music will reach men and women who have lived or are still living similar experiences. This has already been proven true, as learned through conversations at many of their live performances.

In September 2024, Michael and Patty moved back to Florida! This will enable them to go into Florida prisons on a much more regular basis, reinforcing the message left with inmates.

These prison shows are performed free of charge, bringing no monetary income into the Turner household. That’s where you can take part, if so inclined!...

JOIN THE TEAM!

Michael and Patty are so very grateful to everyone who can help support them financially in this mission! They also totally understand that not everyone can spare the money, in which case, they would appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers, and your help in spreading the word!
